Strictly speaking, it isn't However... Zinc starts denying "food" (genetic material) to viruses within hours of being ingested along with a Zinc ionophore:

Zinc works against all variants of Covid-19 and has enormous potential for other viruses and even to treat cancer but you need to learn its mechanism of action.

Zelenko because he says that The Zinc is the one that "kills" the virus (he's right); he might not have known at the beginning exactly how, he is no researcher, but he knows it works, he is a humble, very intelligent decent man that is fighting for his life and does not give up trying to help others.
I have been following Dr. Zelenko since day ONE March 21, 2020 (YES, 2020, can you believe it? when he announced his discovery. The doctor has the data, he doesn't "believe" it works, HE KNOWS it works! and immediately informed President Trump, Giuliani, Mark Meadows...
The FDA was instructed to give him all the help he needed.

Many "experts" and doctors don't know the Zinc's action mechanism, like the mocker woman below and with her scornful smile dismisses Zinc as not antiviral (what can you expect if even the Oxford geniuses say hydroxychloroquine, HCQ is neither good nor bad and in the process they killed hundreds of people and stop research in the UK causing the death of 100s of 1000s). I remember when at a certain point they had 1000 deaths per day. I informed @10DowningStreet, the BBC, NEWSPAPERS, all corrupt.

The zinc not an antiviral? Well, it does an excellent job "starving" them! Zn2+ inhibits RNA POLYMERASE the DNA does not open and the virus cannot replicate (I know it doesn't make much sense to say "starving a virus", is there a better word?)
