For Immediate Release

Patent awarded to resident of El Paso TX USA (US 7,176,426 Integrated Microwaveable heat storage device), will make possible a HIGH TECH CERAMIC PLATE that keeps food hot for a long time with just one minute preheating time. The inventor is presently looking for business partners in Asia.

Applied to InstaHot™ Heat retentive Plates by HotSmart™ The Instructions for use are simply:
“ZAP” (Pre-heat) for just one minute in the microwave oven.
SERVE your hot food as usual; you can handle it by the rim, which does not get hot.
??? …There is no instruction #3, that’s it; it will keep your food hot at the table. Remember, you can handle it by the rim which does not get hot

An empty plate remains hot for up to 30 minutes with just one minute preheating time, it releases heat slowly at a controlled rate to keep food hot. The rim stays cool always.

This is the first functional design change to a ceramic plate in about 12,000 years (Ceramics were discovered in China and Japan), most plates have always been round , flat and boring, the inventor thought it was time the ceramic plate learned a new trick: keep your food hot while you enjoy it. It keeps your food hot, excellent for Chinese food, pasta, steak etc.
Some manufacturers have already expressed interest, the reaction from the public at trade shows in Atlanta and Chicago where prototypes were shown was overwhelmingly positive according to the inventor’s agent as well as the reaction from all people who have seen the samples in El Paso. How something that you preheat for just one minute can stay hot for such a long time? And it is ceramic? And does not crack?

The working principle is based on a low cost, “low tech” (Also patent pending) microwave-absorbing material developed specially for this purpose by the inventor and the Stefan-Boltzmann law for radiation of hot bodies.
