HEAT RETENTIVE COFFEE MUG (MELAMINE?)

Image
A POSSIBLE CONFIGURATION FOR A CERAMIC COFFEE MUG (WHAT ABOUT MELAMINE?) Same simple HotSmart(TM) technology as the heat retentive plate , a heat retentive coffee mug that you just have to "zap" in the microwave oven for one minute and pour your coffee as usual. It will keep it hot to the last sip. it does not overheat the coffee, the flow of heat can be easily regulated by changing the gap between the heater and the mug and/or changing the thickness of the bottom of the mug. The technology is no longer available for exclusive license in the USA. My prototypes have always been made out of ceramic, however I believe MELAMINE can also be used, I would use a small ceramic washer to avoid direct contact with the heater, but maybe it is not necessary since the melamine withstands about 120 degrees C. (I have not conducted any tests yet). The heater is so efficient that only a small amount of energy would be absorbed by the plastic.
